About Our Team
Andrew (FCA, MCMI, FFTA) established the practice in 1984. He is a chartered accountant with over 30 years’ experience, with specialist skills and expertise in Auditing, Small Business Development and Business Start-Ups.
He is committed to ensuring that clients benefit from the best of practice he has seen throughout his career, are kept up to date with the ever-changing tax environment and are able to make informed decisions and ultimately pay the right amount of tax to HMRC.
Andrew is a keen adopter of IT applications; he has ensured that the practice and its clients gain maximum value from the Internet and Accounting software systems. He is currently making a move towards cloud-based accounting, so that clients can stay connected to their data wherever they are, with access to up to date and current financial information at their fingertips.
Outside of work, Andrew is a member of a local running club who has supported him in training for many marathons. All raising funds for local charities. He also enjoys spending quality time out with the family.
Elaine has been in her role providing administration support to Andrew since he established Chappell Associates in 1984. Elaine has a wealth of client knowledge; she is the main point of contact for clients, responsible for the secure handling, storing and return of client books and documents, as well as invoicing.
Elaine’s many interests outside work include sewing, walking, reading, shows, concerts, supporting Andrew during his many marathons & half marathons and spending time with the grandchildren.
Sharon achieved a BTEC National Diploma in Business and Finance which led her to work in this field. She started working for Chappell Associates in 2008 following their merger with Nicola Jones & Co.
Her friendly voice is the one who answers your calls, she keeps Andrew’s diary and meets & greets clients in reception.
Sharon is responsible for new limited company formation & set ups. She also supports limited companies with their company secretarial duties ensuring they meet their statutory obligations.
When away from work Sharon enjoys quality family time with her husband and two grown up children, long dog walks and motorcycle touring & adventures.
Shelley is a Fellow Member of the International Association of Book-Keepers and has an Advanced Diploma in Payroll. She joined Chappell’s in 2011 and has considerable knowledge and experience in bookkeeping, payroll, Auto Enrolment Work for Pension Schemes, Vat and CIS returns, as well as preparation of self-assessment returns. She prides herself in having a strong working relationship with all her clients.
Away from work Shelley enjoys walking her dog, swimming, Pilates, baking cakes, and would like it noted she can be bribed with vast amounts of chocolate!
Katie has been job sharing with Elaine since 2014, providing office management and administration support to all the staff at Chappell’s, as well as being heavily involved with the implementation of updated computer systems and the new company App. She is committed to helping Chappell’s become a paper-lite office.
Katie’s interests include baking, studying for an MA and fundraising for Dorothy House Hospice and the RUH’s Forever Friends Appeal.
Siobhan joined Chappell’s in 2015. She became AAT qualified in 2016 and has already thrown herself into studying towards her ACA qualification. The majority of Siobhan’s work involves the preparation of Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company Accounts, self-assessment returns, as well as bookkeeping, monthly payrolls and Auto Enrolment Work for Pension Schemes. Siobhan prides herself in giving a professional and friendly service to all of our clients.
Away from the office, Siobhan enjoys reading, long dog walks, baking and spending time with friends and family. Siobhan also likes to travel to various destinations during her holidays.
Sally started her accountancy career in Management Accounts and Internal Audit. She joined Chappell’s in 2015 and is AAT qualified.
The majority of her work includes bookkeeping for a varied range of clients, monthly payrolls, pension auto enrolment, VAT, self-assessment and corporation tax returns. She is also involved in the preparation of Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company Accounts.
Sally advises and assists many clients wishing to adopt or migrate to cloud accounting software.
She enjoys meeting new clients and building strong working relationship with them.
In her spare time Sally enjoys running, mountain biking, music concerts, camping, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Emily joined Chappell Associates early 2019, having had previous experience in accountancy and is looking to further her qualifications studying towards her AAT qualification.
The majority of Emily’s work involves the preparation of Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Accounts, self-assessment returns, as well as monthly payrolls.
Emily would like to further her qualifications and study ATT to train in tax.
In Emily’s spare time she enjoys dancing, socialising with friends and family and music.
